18 Free Linux Classes to Learn Linux with Online Classmates

To study by one's self is not easy. It's much easier when you have people to discuss things with. If you would like to have some 'Online Classmates' to study with when you are learning Linux, then this site is for you. This site, "Learn Linux - Online Classmates", offers 18 Free Online Linux courses, with 3 levels of interactivity. The following describes the differences between these 3 levels of class involvement.

  • "Most Interactive" is meant to be used by students in a classroom situation (though this does not mean it is only open to schoolchildren or specific times). There is more involvement from Teachers in this stage who will be able to asess a student's progress and guide him or her through the more difficult concepts.
  • "Interactive" is allows for more involvement between the students. There are modules that will allow the student to gauge his or her understanding of the material as well as modules where the community of students can access each other's understanding of the material.
  • "Least Interactive" is meant to be used by people who want to have access to the material but who do not want to necesarily take part in quizes or other moreinteractive workshops.
The goal is not to seperate people into groups but rather to make resorces available for all levels of users. If you are up to it, enroll in all three levels of courses. To succeed, the community needs to be willing to help each other, so when someone asks a question and you may have some insight, please answer him or her.

The Forums and Chat rooms are structured in such a way that they deal with specific topics. It is important that you post to the correct Forum, use the correct chat room, or your question might not be noticed or answered correctly.

Free registration is required to access and join these free online Linux classes.
