Há atualmente três níveis
da certificação do LPI. O primeiro nível LPIC-1 é concedido após ter passado
os exams LPI 101 e LPI 102. Passando LPI 201 e de LPI
202 os exams concedem a segunda certificação do nível, LPIC-2. O terceiro
nível, LPIC-3, é alcançado ao passar os exams do LPI 301 e do LPI 302.
