Here is a google search result page that lists a site hosting over 600 freely available ebooks in many categories and topics. Many of these ebooks cover programming and web application development with Java, C++, C# (CSharp), PHP, Perl, Oracle. Also covered are operating systems Linux, Unix, and Solaris. In the google page, look for the link with the title "Index of /down/ebooks".
